WHO SHOULD ATTEND:  This is an advanced workshop for attorneys, employee and labor relations specialists, human resources generalists, union representatives, and others with a responsibility for representing either the agency or an appellant in an appeal filed with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board or the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. CLE credit for attorney attendees is supported by FELTG through individual applications to the registrants' state bar or commission.

Monday, Sept. 29th -- EEOC & MSPB Fundamentals:  EEOC and MSPB functions and jurisdiction, constructing disciplinary actions, 5 key elements of misconduct; theories of discrimination, case evaluation and theory development.

Tuesday, Sept. 30th -- Anatomy of a Case, Part I: Lecture: Appeal to Discovery; Demonstration:  Deposition.

Wednesday, Oct. 1st -- Anatomy of a Case, Part II:  Lecture: Settlement to Prehearing; Demonstration:  Settlement Conference.

Thursday, Oct 2nd -- Anatomy of a Case, Part III:  Lecture:  Prehearing to Hearing Prep; Demonstration:  Prehearing Conference.

Friday, Oct 3rd -- Anatomy of a Case, Part IV:  Lecture:  Hearing and arguments; Demonstration:  The Hearing.

 

Each day begins at 8:30 and ends at 4:00 with an hour for lunch. Continental breakfast is served beginning at 8:00.

FELTG reserves the right to cancel a session, or make changes, upon notice.
